Why Celebrate Halloween?

But seems, we’ve been duped;
Pagan customs revived;
Will we follow Jesus;
Or demons disguised?

So precious saint, wholly resolve;
To walk by faith, not feelings;
Claim God’s promises, and obey;
Not your flesh, trust Jesus’ teachings.

So be faithful, available;
Be equipped and stand;
In your corner, speak out;
Spread God’s Truths, wide expand.

So not drawn, to death, destruction;
Choose to love, and to forgive;
God’s Word, His Spirit, guiding;
How to bless, and freely give.

”We wrestle not, flesh and blood;
But principalities and powers;
Against rulers of darkness”;
Bear all God’s armor, in this hour.

Cease spreading hatred, and division;
Supporting evil, instead of good;
Pray they turn, deeply convicted;
To follow Jesus, live as they should.

By feeding on the word of God;
Your body, soul, daily refresh;
Seek godly counsel, wisdom;
Walk by faith, not in your flesh.

In faith, asking and seeking;
Keep knocking, with no bounds;
“My child was dead, is now alive;
Was lost, and is found.”

Laying hold, His every promise
We are a child, of God divine
Trust Him wholly, amidst our suffering
He will deliver, His perfect time.

And learn daily to forgive
Reflecting God’s love
For His goodness and kindness
Daily depend, from above.
