Facing Death

We know not our time
Maybe unexpected
So all, should prepare
Everyone is affected.

Instead of an act
Prepared by our pride
We need to admit
We are failures inside.

So choose not entertainment
To merely pass time
Instead seek the LORD
And know blessings sublime.

So dear saint, do not focus
On outer flaws, your external
Know God searches hearts
‘Tis our soul, that’s eternal.

Have you stopped, given thought
Does joy fill your soul
Have you gladness of heart?
For in Him, you are whole.

Do learn to forgive
So you can forsake
Lest you carry hurts
Resentments, heartache.

Instead of commitment
Honoring God, and spouse
We’re caught up, in a culture
Pleasing ‘self’ and our doubts.

In Christ, we shall join them
And dance hand in hand
In praise, adoration
Worship Jesus, the Lamb.

And though parting is painful
To the core of our being
It is but for a season
We can trust, without seeing.

With truth being buried
And our freedoms removed
So many are fearful
So anxious, confused.
