Failed by Your Father?

For each memory and hurt
God is able to take
And turn into strength
For His children that wait.

Do give thanks in all
Whatever God brings
Do praise His Name
For truly, everything.

Are you thankful this year
Recalling God’s kindness
His daily, unfailing love
Despite our flaws, and blindness?

So, we lift every hurt
Release all, to Him
Now laid upon Christ
Walk in grace, not sin.

Seems marriage today
Lacks God at the center
Now, it’s all about ‘me’
With no plan, to surrender.

So, serve one another
And think of their best
Forgive, when they fail you
And try not to test.

Jesus taught us to love
Not just neighbors, but foes
Yes, to love our enemies
If even cursing…bless those.

So, keep short accounts
Don’t let wounds fester
Learn to quickly forgive
Show love, and live better.

Know hurts to our heart
Must be forgiven
Our pain, and revenge
We’re in our own ‘prison’.

And if God so loves each
Forgives, offers salvation
Should we too, not love
Offer others, reconciliation?
