Ashamed of the Gospel?

If we’re ashamed of Jesus;
And of His words, He warns;
The Son of Man, will be ashamed;
Of each of us, when He returns.

Enter His Rest

Have you entered God’s presence;
Of quiet rest, and peace;
To abide in Christ Jesus;
From ‘self’, be released?

Wanting only, their will and way;
So they reject, keep refusing;
As they rebel, and disobey.

Yes, God promises us His grace;
Sufficient, for our hour;
His strength, is made perfect;
In our weakness, His power.

A Healthy Heart?

A heart in God’s people;
To be discipled, and go;
To make disciples, multiplying;
That all peoples may know.

Comforts and Compromise

With our freedoms and rights;
We so soon, are self-serving;
Then in place of surrender;
We’re caught up, with our yearnings.

Deny Self, Take Up Our Cross

So favorite lusts, carnal desires
Will find no place, in our heart
That God’s Spirit, fill within
Rules and reigns, in every part.

Dying to Self

Since now our life, is not our own;
We are created, and redeemed;
Not to succumb, to selfish wants;
But daily live, with God esteemed.

To see victory, each day;
That we walk, in His Spirit;
Not our fleshly, carnal way.

Fearless or Fearful?

Be not ashamed, of the Gospel;
‘Tis the power of God;
To salvation for everyone;
Who believes, responds.
