New Testament Churches
Equipped the saints, disciple making
As God’s Word, obeyed, applied
Just as Jesus, with His disciples
They went forth, and multiplied.
Finding Joy In Our Trials
Yes, do count it all joy
In the midst of your trials
God is working, to produce
Active endurance, as He disciples.
Many Pastors are Panicking
Not passive spectators
Sitting silent, just staring
But God’s Word applying
Reproducing, all were sharing.
Churchianity or Christianity?
We’re not equipping, with ‘how-to’
Nor teaching, Jesus’ way
Not mentoring, role-modeling
Not reproducing, to obey.
Modern Churches versus Home Churches
Yet Jesus left us, His great Commission
God’s strategy, to reach the world
Make disciples, not pew sitters
Teach them obey, His every word.
Sexual Immorality
As the High Priest, wore a plate
“Holiness to the LORD”, engraved
Let us daily, give God glory
Live in holiness, be not depraved.
Set Free
My body, His temple
For worship and praise
Released from my prison
To new life, am raised.
Overcome Works of the Flesh
We daily crucify our flesh
As we abide, in Christ Jesus
Resolve to live, but by God’s Word
Assured God’s Spirit, is ever with us!
Seeing Beyond
Are we seeing beyond
Life’s heartaches and pain
Great suffering, and sorrow
…Yet see God, bring gain?
Our Personal Baggage
For parents aren’t perfect
They come with their baggage
May kids grow, self-examine
To avoid long-term damage.
