Our Atonement

“For it’s not possible, the blood of bulls;
And goats, could take away sins,”
So, God had offered His own Son;
That Man’s eternal atonement, begins.

Inadequacy, Insecurity

We’re ever craving, to be loved;
Fish for compliments, approval;
Ever wanting to feel wanted;
So insecure, fear disapproval.

Owe My All, to Him Alone

From my background, as a Jew-
Rabbinical burdens, rules and rites-
But our Messiah, Yeshua, Jesus-
Fulfilled the prophets, brought me light.

Our Body, Soul and Spirit

With now our body, His Temple
Glorify God, in all He gives
Our soul, belongs to God.
By His Spirit, our spirit lives.

Rabbinical Writings or God’s Word?

With destruction, of the Temple
No more offerings, blood sacrifice
Instead of faith, in God’s salvation
Rabbis decided ‘works’, will suffice.

Renewing Our Mind

So how to set, our heart anew
To keep abiding in Jesus’ vine?
Not entrapped in carnal thoughts
Instead, be fixed on things divine.

God’s Word, or My Way?

For all Scripture, is God-breathed
Given by, divine inspiration
And is profitable for instruction
For conviction of sin, for correction.

Is the Modern Church Biblical?

Since the church, is Christ’s body
We’re His temple, a living stone
But, seems modern church goals
Miss disciple making, so little known.

Set Apart and Sanctified?

For now in Christ, it is our body
That is the temple, of the LORD
His Spirit, to dwell within us
Be dedicated, His glory poured.
