Comforts and Compromise

With our freedoms and rights;
We so soon, are self-serving;
Then in place of surrender;
We’re caught up, with our yearnings.

Get Rid of Old Baggage!

For if still, ungodly attitudes;
With our mindset, still unchanged;
We’ve not brought, all to Jesus;
So be transformed, wholly changed.

Pulling Down Strongholds

Old baggage, that binds;
Improper patterns, still prevailing;
Harmful habits, wrong reactions;
Let our God, start changing.

Thine Not Mine

Now put on, the Lord Jesus;
Not my feelings, inner surges;
For so quickly, so easily;
We succumb, to carnal urges.

Shake the Nations

‘Praying Hyde’ a prayer warrior;
Who lived on his knees;
Kept praying for India;
Endless intercessions, pleas.

If in Christ, Victims or Victors?

So not to focus, on our feelings;
But recall, our Victor, Jesus;
Not to fall into self-pity;
We are victorious, He’s ever with us.

Inadequacy, Insecurity

We’re ever craving, to be loved;
Fish for compliments, approval;
Ever wanting to feel wanted;
So insecure, fear disapproval.

Our Body, Soul and Spirit

With now our body, His Temple
Glorify God, in all He gives
Our soul, belongs to God.
By His Spirit, our spirit lives.
