In Awe of God

O, such undeserved favor
Overflowing from heaven
Such love for lost sinners
To cleanse out, our old leaven.

Yes, keep waiting on God
The LORD only, our choice
Persevere and be faithful
‘Til we hear His voice.

God is pleased by our faith
As we trust, and obey
So, fear not, stay faithful
Follow His will and way.

How to draw near
To the presence of God
Bow down before Him
In worship, be awed.

To bring hope, facing trials
Temptations and testing
God’s Spirit in us
Protecting, perfecting.

Amidst sorrows of suffering
And thorns of the flesh
Is God’s grace sufficient
Can we trust Him afresh?

Let us earnestly yearn
Hear God, seek His presence
Set aside all distractions
Interference, incessant.

So, learn to but listen
His sheep hear His voice
Discern and obey Him
Make no other choice.

So, instead of my thoughts
LORD, speak to my heart
Not distracted by ;stuff’
But hear, all You impart.

Are you deepening your walk
With the Lord, Most High
Do you yearn, evermore
That His Presence, draw nigh?
