Temptations

Once we’re strong in the Lord
And the power of His might
In the armor of God
Each temptation takes flight.

For His compassions, fail not
They are new each morning
Great is Your faithfulness
The LORD, is my portion.

So, despite such depravity
The height of men’s evil
You will comfort, and care
LORD God, Your own people.

For persecution’s rewarded
Such an honor to bear
To walk the way, of His cross
In His sufferings, His life share.

And while God offers good
Temptation brings evil
Understanding our choice
Be His righteous people.

Therefore, welcome your trials
Your waiting, and suffering
Since God is perfecting
Become His fragrant offering.

So, our God allows trials
That our faith be tenacious
Great faith, be made complete
To be perfected, need patience.

Yes LORD, midst oppression
May Your people shine bright
That multitudes of Afghani’s
Turn from darkness, to light.

His bloodshed, our new birth
By God’s Spirit, divine
From death, now resurrection
LORD, all the glory is Thine!

So be ready, prepare
For our freedom is fading
Our faith is attacked
Great wickedness, invading.
