Just Existing, or Purpose-Living?

To surrender and yield
As His possession, daily walking
Not existing, but fulfilling
God’s purposes and calling.

Yet our Master, Creator
Set limits, in love
Has given us guidance
The true Captain, above.

Are you pressing on upward
To reach higher ground
Are you seeking the Lord
In His presence be found?

Let us listen, and learn
Our true purpose, commitment
The end of the matter
To seek God, for fulfillment.

With our spirit made live
Daily trust Him, He supplies
We find then, complete fulfilment
In the LORD God, Most High.

Do learn, sit and listen
To hear the Lord’s voice
Seek His face, and presence
‘Tis our duty, not a choice.

Yes, do follow God’s Word
Pray for His wisdom, in all
Call upon Him, to lead us
He surely answers our call.

Know God, our Creator
Remember, He is Lord
Created us, for His kingdom
In Christ, we’re restored.

But God waits for our choices
His love, forces not
Forewarns us, of outcomes
Yet we choose our lot.

So easily deceived
Follow flesh, not God’s Spirit
Refusing to repent
Their choice, God fulfils it!
