Wrong Feelings… Feeding or Defeating?

So not focused, on wrong feelings,
Ever forgive, instead to love,
Grow not weary, nor frustrated,
Keep claiming grace, from above.

While our God, our Creator;
Has spoken, have we heard?
Sent the Savior, to redeem us;
Guide our ‘Free will’ to His Word.

Be not shaken, when offended;
By God’s grace, we’re so secure;
Recognizing, all are sinners;
So we forgive, thro’ Christ endure.

Took my sins and my sorrows;
All my suffering, all my shame;
All my guilt, my disgrace;
All glory, to His Name!

So forgive, if others trespass;
All those times, wronging you;
So that your heavenly Father;
Now will also, forgive you.

Recalling Jesus, despised, rejected
Calls us, come follow Him
He knows well, all our sorrows
He gives us grace, comforts within.

Jesus taught us to love
Not just neighbors, but foes
Yes, to love our enemies
If even cursing…bless those.

So, keep short accounts
Don’t let wounds fester
Learn to quickly forgive
Show love, and live better.

As Jesus taught them, to focus
Upon God, and His greatness
‘Tis not, the size of our faith Know unforgiveness, constrains us.

So, be bound not, by feelings
Trust God all the way
To forgive, when rejected
Jesus forgives you, each day.
