Dying Churches and Denominations

Instead of “Modern Churchianity”
May we return to bible teaching,
Obeying Jesus, disciple-making,
For we are failing, rarely outreaching.
Selecting a Scriptural Church

So come to church, not to network;
But be discipled, to obey
Learn commitment, to God’s Word;
Go make disciples, in Jesus’ way.
Why Many Churches Are Closing

Not endless rows, of pew spectators,
Passive, unaccountable, few partakers,
Instead of church routines, traditions,
Learn to train, disciple-makers.
Jesus’ Command…Will Churches Obey?

So may church leaders, see beyond,
Customs, traditions, familiar ways,
To awaken, to Jesus’ command,
Learn disciple-making, and obey.
Degrees or Disciple-Makers?

Discipling ministries, now growing,
Teach to equip, train ‘man-to-man’,
May we too, obey Jesus,
Go reach all nations, with His plan.
Biblical, Disciple-Making Church Models

So may our churches, now awaken,
To obey, and pray and plan,
Asking God, to raise up laborers,
Disciple-making, is Jesus’ command.
Famous Churches, Yet Key Missing!

First do commit, be His disciple,
Search to be trained, equipped to go,
So at work, in school, with neighbors,
Disciple-making, from seeds that grow.
‘Churchianity’ or DMM (Disciple-Making Ministry)

For our focus, as His body,
Our goal, bringing God glory,
Disciple-making, His strategy,
Equipping saints, to spread His story.
Church Dilemma…and Solution
We so need, this role-modelling
Equipping, training, how ‘tis applied
How to grow, make new Believers
Become discipled, then multiplied.
Blind-Spots in the Church

So, mentor those, faithful, available,
Also teachable, must display,
Men and women to be discipled,
Equipped for ministry, Jesus obey.
