Not Seeking, Not Finding
And God gave us His Bible
The story of Israel, of man
Our fall, need for redemption
Messiah Jesus, God’s plan.
Are We Poor in Spirit?
Are we humble and lowly
Or proud, self-serving
Are exalting ourself
Or submissive, subserving?
Poor in Spirit?
Are so weary of self
All the efforts you make
Self-reliance, self-ambitions
All fleshly, vain mistakes.
Driven by Hatred or Love?
Jesus showed forth God’s love
Crucified, for me and you
Had cried “Father, forgive them
They know not, what they do. “
Jesus’ Be-Attitudes
Jesus taught how to be
In our attitudes, our nature
What to strive for, as goals
Become like our Creator.
Righteous or Religious?
So not my works, self-efforts
My offerings, being zealous
But Jesus only, makes pure
By faith righteous, not religious.
Believing Lies
The deception of Satan
Is no different today
He appeals to our thoughts
To our desires, lead us astray.
Default Dogmas of Evolutionists
Yet somehow from ‘nothing’
All must be explained
Since God has been banned
They’ve just dogmas… so deranged.
Deceived or Devoted?
Like Adam and Eve
We too face temptation
So be devoted to God
Or be deceived, by Satan?
Bound… in the ‘Land of the Free’
In this ‘Land of the Free’
So many, feel bound
Became captive, to our culture
That confuses, confounds.
