Self or the Savior?
Instead, self becomes center
Instead of Christ
Our thinking, our deciding
Self-fulfilment, our prize.
The Cup, the Cross, the Crown
So, do drink your cup
Trust God, and obey
He is with you, midst sufferings
Know He’s present, always.
The Cost of Salvation
Yet, He bids us to follow
We must take up, our cross
Abide in Him daily
Count all things as loss.
Seek Repentance
Seek, true fruits of repentance
As you search your heart
A new walk, not just talk
By God’s Spirit, a new start.
Our Weakness, for His Strength
His strength, for your weakness
His glory, for your shame
His favor, for your fumbling
Praise His wonderful Name.
Our Holiness
Not by blood, of bulls nor goats
Could never pay, the full price
For all our sinful, rebellion
We need a new life, in Christ.
Our Dilemma Solved
For the shed blood of Jesus
Could cancel, not just cover
The sin of men’s hearts
There is none other.
Now, His Child and Heir
No longer as slaves
To sin, that long bound
But a child, and God’s heir
Through Christ, I was found.
It is Finished
Then He rose, conquered sin
Death and the grave
Reigns victorious, evermore
Through His blood, we are saved.
His Love Would Not Die
Was hung up to die
Know love, held Him there
Tho’ bleeding and dying
Was forgiving, in prayer.
