Forgiveness
Forgiveness depends
Not on the offender
They may have done wrong
Jesus tells us, be a forgiver.
Forgiveness or Feelings
While Jesus, showed love
Forgiveness, not hate
Building bridges, not walls
To unite, not separate.
Do We See Jesus?
Perfected through suffering
Captain of our salvation
Saved many thro’ affliction
Bought our sanctification.
Cleaning House…with Jacob
With death to your old life
In Christ, be made new
Once a Jacob, now an Israel
Ask His Spirit, change you.
Church Ritual or Christ?
Each pew and each person
Tells a story, their life
For some, true commitment
For others, a mere rite.
Brokenness to Blessing
But God often uses
The fires, great strife
Finally gets our attention
To teach lessons of life.
A Man of Sorrows
Though we live, amidst battles
We’ve daily victory, with Jesus
Yes, we too, may face sorrows
But rejoice, He ever meets us.
A Deep Fear of God
A deep fear of God
Demands reverence, within
Do recall, but for Jesus
We are lost, in our sin.
A Cork
Like a cork on the sea
You bob up and down
So tiny, and lost
So afraid you may drown.
Have You Slipped?
Have you slipped and fallen, slid deep into sin? So aware of your guilt…will you come to Him?
