Watching and Waiting

Be ever ready for His coming
Though we know not the hour
But be His faithful, wise steward
Await His blessings, to shower.

Once we’re strong in the Lord
And the power of His might
In the armor of God
Each temptation takes flight.

Grip my heart, with Your Truth
I am loved, beyond measure
Despite all my failures
In Christ, I’m You’re treasure.

Overwhelmed, on our own
We feel helpless, and lost
So set our mind, believe God’s Word
There is victory, through the cross.

Though we know not the day
Nor hour He will come
God’s Word never fails
We shall soon, see His Son.

For His compassions, fail not
They are new each morning
Great is Your faithfulness
The LORD, is my portion.

Keep God’s Word, in our heart
Cry out to God, and resist
Resolve, I will obey
The Holy Spirit, will assist.

For His love in Christ Jesus
Our Lord, is love eternal
We are forever, in His hand
More than secure, His love encircles.

His purpose is cleansing
Like gold refined pure
That our lives, should reflect
His glory, yet more.

So our suffering and pain
Become stepping stones
Believe God has His purpose
To draw nearer, to His own.
