Faith amidst Trials

For our testing and trial
Are to strengthen our trust
As He bids us, to believe
All to Him, entrust.

For His love in Christ Jesus
Our Lord, is love eternal
We are forever, in His hand
More than secure, His love encircles.

His purpose is cleansing
Like gold refined pure
That our lives, should reflect
His glory, yet more.

So our suffering and pain
Become stepping stones
Believe God has His purpose
To draw nearer, to His own.

Do count it all joy
When trials fall your way
For the testing of faith
Builds patience, each day.

Yes, His righteousness revealed
From faith to faith
As Habakkuk wrote
“The just shall live by faith”.

And there, no more pain
Soon glory, and splendor
God’s presence and peace
His kingdom, forever.

And while God offers good
Temptation brings evil
Understanding our choice
Be His righteous people.

Therefore, welcome your trials
Your waiting, and suffering
Since God is perfecting
Become His fragrant offering.

In Jesus’ suffering, God’s path
To bless fallen man
In His cross, our daily dying
God has shown us, His plan.
