Where There is No Vision

So, live not for this world
That will soon pass away
But, for our calling, eternal
To trust God, and obey.

Ask God change your view
Give thanksgiving each day
Let His Spirit control
Let Him teach you to pray.

For His compassions, fail not
They are new each morning
Great is Your faithfulness
The LORD, is my portion.

Yes, held to God’s Word
His promises, and provision
Believed God would guide
Abraham’s hope and vision.

Keep God’s Word, in our heart
Cry out to God, and resist
Resolve, I will obey
The Holy Spirit, will assist.

So then friend, you can find
In your darkest, deep hour
God is ever, our hope
Can uphold us, by His power.

For our testing and trial
Are to strengthen our trust
As He bids us, to believe
All to Him, entrust.

For His love in Christ Jesus
Our Lord, is love eternal
We are forever, in His hand
More than secure, His love encircles.

His purpose is cleansing
Like gold refined pure
That our lives, should reflect
His glory, yet more.

So our suffering and pain
Become stepping stones
Believe God has His purpose
To draw nearer, to His own.
