Abraham: Walking by Faith

Yes, held to God’s Word
His promises, and provision
Believed God would guide
Abraham’s hope and vision.

Keep God’s Word, in our heart
Cry out to God, and resist
Resolve, I will obey
The Holy Spirit, will assist.

So then friend, you can find
In your darkest, deep hour
God is ever, our hope
Can uphold us, by His power.

For our testing and trial
Are to strengthen our trust
As He bids us, to believe
All to Him, entrust.

So our suffering and pain
Become stepping stones
Believe God has His purpose
To draw nearer, to His own.

Do count it all joy
When trials fall your way
For the testing of faith
Builds patience, each day.

And while God offers good
Temptation brings evil
Understanding our choice
Be His righteous people.

Therefore, welcome your trials
Your waiting, and suffering
Since God is perfecting
Become His fragrant offering.

So, our God allows trials
That our faith be tenacious
Great faith, be made complete
To be perfected, need patience.

Satan came before God
In heaven to accuse
Not to worship, nor praise
But Job, to misuse.
