Suffering-God’s Path to Blessings

In Jesus’ suffering, God’s path
To bless fallen man
In His cross, our daily dying
God has shown us, His plan.

‘In Me, you have peace’
Spoke Jesus, God’s Son
‘In the world, tribulation
Be courageous… I’ve overcome’.

When confronted by suffering
With reasons unclear
Will we choose to grow better
Or grow bitter, with fears.

Remember our brethren
In starvation and need
Persecuted, forgotten
Daily, do intercede.

We pray, a great harvest
Throughout Libya, it’s people
Muslims embracing Christ
Turned from darkness and evil.

Make streams in the desert
Turn the hearts of these people
To seek for you LORD
Turn to Jesus, from evil.

Yes LORD, midst oppression
May Your people shine bright
That multitudes of Afghani’s
Turn from darkness, to light.

His bloodshed, our new birth
By God’s Spirit, divine
From death, now resurrection
LORD, all the glory is Thine!

So be ready, prepare
For our freedom is fading
Our faith is attacked
Great wickedness, invading.

Do protect each Believer
Amidst hardship, remoteness
Fill them with Your Presence
Grant wisdom and boldness.
