The Privilege of Persecution

For persecution’s rewarded
Such an honor to bear
To walk the way, of His cross
In His sufferings, His life share.

And there, no more pain
Soon glory, and splendor
God’s presence and peace
His kingdom, forever.

In Jesus’ suffering, God’s path
To bless fallen man
In His cross, our daily dying
God has shown us, His plan.

Remember our brethren
In starvation and need
Persecuted, forgotten
Daily, do intercede.

Yes LORD, midst oppression
May Your people shine bright
That multitudes of Afghani’s
Turn from darkness, to light.

His bloodshed, our new birth
By God’s Spirit, divine
From death, now resurrection
LORD, all the glory is Thine!

So be ready, prepare
For our freedom is fading
Our faith is attacked
Great wickedness, invading.

Do protect each Believer
Amidst hardship, remoteness
Fill them with Your Presence
Grant wisdom and boldness.

Before God and man
Send aid and finances
Petition God, for His plan.
