The Spiritual Battle for Our Nation

”We wrestle not, flesh and blood;
But principalities and powers;
Against rulers of darkness”;
Bear all God’s armor, in this hour.

Cease spreading hatred, and division;
Supporting evil, instead of good;
Pray they turn, deeply convicted;
To follow Jesus, live as they should.

Put on the whole armor;
Of God, that we’re able;
To stand, against the wiles;
Of the devil, God enables.

Do you yearn to draw nearer
So filled, by God’s Spirit?
Take this vessel, so faulty
Come restore LORD, and fill it.

“To revive the spirit, of the humble
Revive the heart, of those contrite”
Our Master Potter, can reshape
We His clay, remold aright.

God offers a promise
If His people will pray
And humble ourselves
Walk in His way.

Succumbing not, to our foes
Our culture, our flesh
Nor the devil’s destruction
But see Christ’s, blessed success.

Rejecting their God
Were a rebellious people
They served Baal, false idols
And, committed great evil.

Life’s not a cruise-ship, but a battleship
We’re not observers, but partakers
And not passive, but active
Bear God’s armor, no abstainers!

For behind all the bloodshed
A spiritual war, deploys
With dark forces of evil
Seek God’s chosen, to destroy.
