Our Daily Battle is Real

Succumbing not, to our foes
Our culture, our flesh
Nor the devil’s destruction
But see Christ’s, blessed success.

Life’s not a cruise-ship, but a battleship
We’re not observers, but partakers
And not passive, but active
Bear God’s armor, no abstainers!

For behind all the bloodshed
A spiritual war, deploys
With dark forces of evil
Seek God’s chosen, to destroy.

Know God alone conquers
Every battle is won
Yet, He invites us partake
Wholly trust, in His Son.

For prayer, is the ground
Where God’s victory is won
So, persist and prevail
‘Till the enemy’s undone.

Yes LORD, open doors
Despite such oppression
Midst violence and fear
Make Somalia, Your possession.

So too, claim Christ’s victory
For with Him, you are bound
Do wait on the LORD
As His child, He surrounds.

We fight on three fronts
And battle away
The world, and the flesh
And the devil, each day.

O God, guard and guide us
Alone, we’ve no power
Against this great multitude
Come protect us, this hour.

Yes, let God arise
His enemies be scattered
Those who hate Him, flee
His adversaries, shattered.
