Don’t Harden Your Heart
Don’t harden your heart
Staying stubborn, defiant
With grievances, grudges
Hard-headed, self-reliant.
Put on the New
So daily put on, the new man
In God’s likeness, created
In true righteousness, holiness
Daily victorious, and elated.
Why Are We Here?
We are here for God’s business
His purpose, not our own
Bringing Him glory
Go make disciples, seeds sown.
Be a Finisher…Gideon’s Downfall
But then sadly, he succumbed
Asked for earrings, from his plunder
Israel gave him much gold
He made an ephod, an evil blunder.
Backsliding
The flames may have died
Fierce passions, ran dry
Many churches, dwindling
Are now asking why?
Seeking Approval
So instead, of self-approval
Or seek approval, of others
Know, we’re created for God
For His approval, not another.
Are You a Fool?
The fool says in his heart
There is no God
Who declares them corrupt
Abominable… none does good?
Take Responsibility for Our Failures
Learn from Adam, our wrongs
We must own, and not hide
Nor blame others, but confess
And repent…. in Christ abide.
Your Goal
Your life you can build
On His Word and His will
His pleasure and purpose
You are finally fulfilled.
Just Existing, or Purpose-Living?
To surrender and yield
As His possession, daily walking
Not existing, but fulfilling
God’s purposes and calling.
