This Thanksgiving Day

Yes, give thanks for all
Whate’er life brings
Loudly, praise His Name
He will use everything.

Do give thanks in all
Whatever God brings
Do praise His Name
For truly, everything.

Are you thankful this year
Recalling God’s kindness
His daily, unfailing love
Despite our flaws, and blindness?

Have you stopped, given thought
Does joy fill your soul
Have you gladness of heart?
For in Him, you are whole.

In Christ, we shall join them
And dance hand in hand
In praise, adoration
Worship Jesus, the Lamb.

And though parting is painful
To the core of our being
It is but for a season
We can trust, without seeing.

Come to the King
He bids us on high
The great Lord of all
We dare not deny.

These wounds we keep picking stay hurting and sore we delay them from healing, cause pain even more.

A house is a home
Where love, fills the rooms
Great concern to connect
Let laughter, lift gloom.

Not dwelling on problems
Left over, last year
But am trusting the Lord
Filled with His cheer.
