Wait upon The Lord

So, in place of self-searching
And following our feelings
Rather obey the LORD
Be wise, wait upon His leading.

That instead, of selfish pleasures
Intercede, for more salvations
The Lord Jesus, returns soon
We must pray for all nations.

So, pray in accord
With His Word, and ways
Every promise proclaim
Thro’ our lives, all our days.

And tell Him in worship
He is all that you need
If prayerfully awaiting
God will answer indeed.

All God states, He will do
All He promises, fulfills
Cannot lie, nor deceive
So, wait upon Him, be still.

Yet God invites us, to pray
Participate, in His plans
Bids us ask, seek and knock
To seek His will, not man’s.

Our High Priest, the LORD Jesus
Who taught us to pray
By His Spirit, in our weakness
Intercedes, leads the way.

By Your Spirit, I’m reborn
By Your Spirit, empower
By Your Spirit, do direct
By Your Spirit, overpower.

By constant prayer, keep seeking
Lest we wander, and fall
Ever dependent, await
God’s Word and wisdom, in all.

Wait on the Lord
For His timing, not mine
And trust Him, whatever
For His hour, divine.
