Basics of Prayer

Yes, do ask, ’twill be given
Do seek, you will find
Do knock, will be opened
Our heavenly Father, is kind.

Babe of Bethlehem

Born helpless and needy
Jesus came, just as we
But this risen Savior
Now sets captives free.

Awake Me, LORD

So pour Your grace
My feelings, thoughts
Henceforth, for Christ
Live as I ought.

At Which Fire Do You Stand?

And what of yourself
At which fire do you stand
That kindled by God
Or the work of man’s hand?

Ask, Seek, Knock

Ask,’twill be given
Seek, and you’ll find
Knock, will be opened
….The Lord God reminds.

As in Heaven

Let us pray for God’s will
That His kingdom come
As in heaven, on earth
May His will, be done.

Anxious for Nothing

Be anxious for nothing
But in everything, by prayer
And supplication, with thanksgiving
Let God hear your cares.

Allow God to Choose

With open hands, hold all
Know we cannot demand
The LORD, gives and takes
In accord with His plans.

A Tender Ear

LORD, may I listen
You alone, are the Way
Lest I stumble in pride
Hear not, what You say.

A Primer on Prayer

Do we wander and stray
Random thoughts in our mind
Or pray in the Spirit
As God has assigned?
