Exceeding Abundant

And come ask in faith
Not doubting reluctant
Plead but for God’s will
Persist boldly, exultant.

I keep asking and seeking
Knocking and believing
For heavenly showers
With the Lord, I keep pleading.

In the day of my trouble
I will call upon You
For You will answer me
You are faithful, and true.

Yes, you’ve come to the place
Of desperate prayer
Your heart is so torn
Need God, show His care.

So today, ask dear LORD
Come fill every part
I surrender my body
My spirit, and heart.

Do repent of all evil
Ungodly behavior
Daily dying to self
To abide in the Savior.

Yes, daily I come
To abide in You, Lord
To worship and obey
All You have in store.

Ask God for key people
Let us pray, without cease
Those who influence others
Like the ‘persons of peace’.

Communing with God
Being constant in prayer
Amidst fiery darts
Distractions, despair.

When you come before God
Boldly asking in prayer?
Or doubting, debating
Does God, really care?
