If Prayer Seems Unanswered

For prayers, still unanswered
God, speak to my ear
Are there steps I should take?
And if not…persevere.

We have but to heart-cry
Even if not speaking
The LORD surely hears
All that you are seeking.

But, by faith we’re forgiven
By faith we are saved
By faith, keep abiding
And by faith, will be raised.

So, stop looking to people
To meet all you’re needing
Since God will supply
More praying, and believing!

I keep asking and seeking
Knocking and believing
For heavenly showers
With the Lord, I keep pleading.

When you come before God
Boldly asking in prayer?
Or doubting, debating
Does God, really care?

With open hands, hold all
Know we cannot demand
The LORD, gives and takes
In accord with His plans.

LORD, may I listen
You alone, are the Way
Lest I stumble in pride
Hear not, what You say.
