His Rest and Peace

Our life’s full of troubles
Tribulations, each day
Yet instead of our resting
We keep struggling, our way.

This Christmas, remember
The gift that God gave
His beloved dear Son
To seek and to save.

But, if our vision is great
Let us therefore, come boldly
To His throne of grace
To obtain mercy from God
Come wholly rest, in His grace.

But, if our vision is great
Believe God, is Almighty
Omnipotent, omniscient
Then our faith too, is mighty.

And beyond death, life eternal
Before His glory, we’ll be
Assured, forever with Jesus
O how blessed, are we!

Since our God, is all able
Creator, of heavens and earth
Sent Jesus, bought our salvation
How we’re valued, of great worth.

Jesus marveled, in wonder
To His disciples, revealing
The centurion’s great faith
For his servant’s healing.

As Jesus taught them, to focus
Upon God, and His greatness
‘Tis not, the size of our faith Know unforgiveness, constrains us.
