Is the Modern Church Biblical?

Since the church, is Christ’s body
We’re His temple, a living stone
But, seems modern church goals
Miss disciple making, so little known.

Not a self-serving ministry
But sinners saved, when speaking
Not into personal prosperity
But lost souls, we’re seeking.

With each discipled, taught abiding
To learn obeying, go make disciples
Teaching them, disciple-making
To reach the nations, pray for revivals.

For now in Christ, it is our body
That is the temple, of the LORD
His Spirit, to dwell within us
Be dedicated, His glory poured.

God is granting our prayer
Making America, Great Again
Once more, a beacon of light
Not corrupted, no dark stain.

Equipped the saints, disciple making
As God’s Word, obeyed, applied
Just as Jesus, with His disciples
They went forth, and multiplied.

Yes, do count it all joy
In the midst of your trials
God is working, to produce
Active endurance, as He disciples.

Not passive spectators
Sitting silent, just staring
But God’s Word applying
Reproducing, all were sharing.

We’re not equipping, with ‘how-to’
Nor teaching, Jesus’ way
Not mentoring, role-modeling
Not reproducing, to obey.

Yet Jesus left us, His great Commission
God’s strategy, to reach the world
Make disciples, not pew sitters
Teach them obey, His every word.
