Holy Spirit Possession

Am longing, Your Spirit
May take full control
Wholly dwelling and filling
Am yielding, my whole.

So sinful, so selfish
I surrender my all
Holy Spirit, come fill
May You Lord, have all.

Since heaven’s my home
Am here, passing through
So, am anxious for naught
For my God’s ever true.

Know, he is no fool
Who freely gives up
What he cannot save
To see God, fill his cup.

Godliness, with contentment
Is truly great gain
We brought naught in this world
And we exit, the same.

So when God views our heart
Our innermost being
Is there fruit in our lives?
Are we abiding, or leaving?

Set free from my bondage
To self, and my sin
To Satan and demons
Now freedom, within.

With my mind, serve God’s law
While my flesh, serves sin
But God’s Spirit, sets free
From sin and death, within.

No longer, condemnation
For those in Christ Jesus
Who walk not, in the flesh
But let God’s Spirit, free us.

Our culture’s sadly, so secular
Church attendance, fast falling
Need God’s help, to resolve this
Are we on our knees, calling?
