A Key to Suffering

For our focus is body
But God speaks to the soul
Our faith, His redemption
These make a man whole.

With death to self-will
The way of the Cross
By grace submit all
With the Lord, ‘tis not loss.

Counting her greater
Than your own desires
The Lord will give grace
To lift her up higher.

Be repentant, not rebellious
Obedient, His Spirit-filled
Submitted, not stubborn
Seek God, not self-willed.

Take hold of me, LORD
Completely possess
Come fill every part
Transform me, and bless.

Yes Lord, let Your love
Be poured in my heart
No longer I live
May Christ, fill each part.

Do sanctify, purify
This vessel of clay
And use for Your glory
Your plans, each day.

So, trust Him in all
Seek God, through His Word
Delight in His presence
Obey daily what’s heard.

For our Father, the vine-dresser
Is pruning, discarding
As branches, of His vine
For more fruit…keep abiding.

Since nothing, is too hard
For our great God, to fulfill
Trusting fully in God
Keep obeying His will.
