Has the Church Lost Its Way?

Has the church, lost its way
Is it biblically sound?
Are we teaching to obey
So, disciple-makers are found?

God sets the rules
He is LORD of all
Our Designer, Creator
Before Him, we fall.

His living waters, purify
Bring us life, tho’ we are dead
No other waters, no other way
Alone our fountain, our living head.

Till today, Israel fights
Now back in her land
Freed from Hitler’s hatred
Instead, Hamas’ evil plans.

While the ‘Tanach’, Old Testament
Clearly details, Messiah’s picture
Most Pharisees, rejecting Jesus
The One fulfilling, God’s scripture.

So, life is not random ‘luck’
God knows our will and ways
Sees our heart’s intent
God decides our lot, always.

Are your sins simply covered
Or taken away
Are you hoping good deeds
Will save on that Day?

So like Israel, we too co-habit
Instead of purging, die to self
Compromising, we let our flesh
Pursue the carnal, and worldly wealth.

So, He trained and role-modeled
Not spectators, but partakers
As He discipled His followers
To be faithful, disciple-makers.

While many churches, think revival
Are not equipping and training
How to go, make new disciples
That go forth, disciple-making.
