Our Faith

So, by faith offering God
What is pleasing to Him
Believe that He is
Rewards those seeking Him.

Though God has chastised
They faced every threat
But His Covenant people
He does not forget.

Grew up with tradition
Lived under the Law
Rabbinical Judaism, Yiddish
Was the life that I saw.

Reconciled thro’ His death
To God, in one body
Fulfilling God’s Law
A new covenant, to embody.

Thirst for Jesus’, living waters
And walk in God’s Spirit
Set your mind on His Word
“LORD, this vessel, daily fill it”.

A faith based on facts
So fully supported
In the LORD God, eternal
Who created and ordered.

As Jesus taught them, to focus
Upon God, and His greatness
‘Tis not, the size of our faith Know unforgiveness, constrains us.

Consecrated, sanctified
Drawing nigh, to God’s altar
Yet seems, we come flippant
Should our approach, alter?

O Hallelujah, thro’ Messiah
All our sins washed away
With Him died, and we rise
His special treasure, every day.

Our culture’s sadly, so secular
Church attendance, fast falling
Need God’s help, to resolve this
Are we on our knees, calling?
