Heart Cry

When my heart, is overwhelmed
Lead me, to the rock
That is higher than I
My shelter… You unlock.

Shake us and wake us
Revive us, O Lord
Send down the fires
May Your Spirit, be poured.

We need vision to see
Our prime purpose in life
Fulfilling god’s calling
In this world of strife.

So let us learn, to reproduce
In the lives, of friends and neighbors
By evangelizing, then discipling
Multiplying disciple makers.

Has the church, lost its way
Is it biblically sound?
Are we teaching to obey
So, disciple-makers are found?

God sets the rules
He is LORD of all
Our Designer, Creator
Before Him, we fall.

His living waters, purify
Bring us life, tho’ we are dead
No other waters, no other way
Alone our fountain, our living head.

Once we’re strong in the Lord
And the power of His might
In the armor of God
Each temptation takes flight.

An Awakening, a Revival
Doesn’t happen by chance
God is seeking a tinder
A praying warrior, to advance.

Not seeking elsewhere
Not self, nor those around
But wholly dependent
In Him, all is found.
