Casting Our Cares

Oft’ weighed down, with our worries;
Concerns, cares that we carry;
So, feel anxious, agitated;
Bearing burdens, we can’t bury.

But seems, we’ve been duped;
Pagan customs revived;
Will we follow Jesus;
Or demons disguised?

For Jesus bids, drink His waters;
We shall never thirst again;
His living waters, a fountain;
Springs to eternal life…Amen!

And so pastors, church leaders;
Learn to equip, disciple-making;
Do obey, Jesus’ command;
Pray God’s people, start awakening!

Grow in faith, gain understanding;
As we obey, we then know;
Not to wander and stray;
But trusting God, He will show.

Yielding daily, to God’s Spirit;
Remain faithful, be not enmeshed;
So resist, when we are tempted;
Not surrendering to our flesh.

“Since all sin, and fall short”;
“A slave of sin, is not freed;
But, if the Son makes you free;
You shall be free indeed!”

If serving God, and others;
No longer wrapped up, with ‘Me’;
Obey His Word, trust Jesus;
He will transform us, be set free!

So build bridges, not barriers;
Choose to love, not to resent;
Walk in love, don’t be aggrieved;
Instead, God’s joy and peace present.

Let us be pleasing to our God
Bringing to Him, more glory
Lest instead, we feed our flesh
Dishonor God, with our story.
