The Fig Tree
Not our knowledge, our ‘leaves’
Our sin, we can’t cover
For God sees our hearts
Any sweet fruit, to discover?
The Blessings of Surrender (Becoming ‘Good Soil’)
Yes, receive of God’s blessing
First surrender each part
Not the best of our flesh
First, our will and our heart.
Striving, or Resting?
But, if our vision is great
Let us therefore, come boldly
To His throne of grace
To obtain mercy from God
Come wholly rest, in His grace.
Do Run From Her Door
God’s wisdom will keep us
From these evil ways
So, hear instruction
Trust God, and obey.
Resting or Wrestling?
Are you resting in Jesus
Or wrestling with stress
Wondering how to let go
And worry, far less?
Render Him All
So, not passive withholding
But praying, and caring
Preparing and sharing
Boldly go forth, declaring.
Remade in God’s Image
Yes, remade in His image
Now reflecting His goodness
The fruits of His Spirit
Stay filled, with His fullness.
Rejoice Always
So, rejoice always in God
For we’re bound, by His love
Let your heart overflow
Filled from heaven above.
Prune Me
Yes Lord, prune my branch
To be all You desire
For my longing and yearning
Is to lift You up, higher.
Prone To Wander
Yes, so strengthened in faith
That I pray, and not stray
Neither wander, nor slip
But only trust You, and obey.
