Overcoming…in this World

For blessed is the man who trusts,
The LORD Jesus, is their hope,

In Christ we conquer, not just cope.

Are We Willing to Change?

Allow God’s Spirit, and others,
Start to trust and obey,
Be set free, from heavy burdens,
See our God, renew our ways.

How to Deny Self (A slave of righteousness, not sin)

Yielding daily, to God’s Spirit;
Remain faithful, be not enmeshed;
So resist, when we are tempted;
Not surrendering to our flesh.

Freed or in Bondage

“Since all sin, and fall short”;
“A slave of sin, is not freed;
But, if the Son makes you free;
You shall be free indeed!”

Don’t Live in Your Bubble!

If serving God, and others;
No longer wrapped up, with ‘Me’;
Obey His Word, trust Jesus;
He will transform us, be set free!

Keep Looking Upward…. Not Inward!

Keep looking upward, not inward;
As a flint, set your face;
Obey Jesus, commands and vision;
Do keep laboring, by faith and grace.

Spiritual Pollution

Since our body, is God’s temple;
Is not our own, we must be pure;
Be not tainted, with pollution;
Sin ruins lives, yet even more.

Comforts and Compromise

With our freedoms and rights;
We so soon, are self-serving;
Then in place of surrender;
We’re caught up, with our yearnings.

Deny Self, Take Up Our Cross

So favorite lusts, carnal desires
Will find no place, in our heart
That God’s Spirit, fill within
Rules and reigns, in every part.

Dying to Self

Since now our life, is not our own;
We are created, and redeemed;
Not to succumb, to selfish wants;
But daily live, with God esteemed.
