Overcoming Weakness

For Jesus only, our Creator
Living in us, He can supply
His grace, ever sufficient
Simply trust Him, and abide.

So, friend do drink deeply
Of His living waters, each day
That your mind-set, your attitude
Is to but love, and obey.

Our life is a garden
We tend, and we sow
Bright flowers, or weeds
We choose what will grow.

May our leaders, seek God’s wineskins
A fresh vison of Jesus’ call
A holy people, disciple-making
Going forth and reaching all.

No longer to struggle
In life’s battles, then lose
A new creature in Christ
For His glory, to use.

Thirst for Jesus’, living waters
And walk in God’s Spirit
Set your mind on His Word
“LORD, this vessel, daily fill it”.

A faith based on facts
So fully supported
In the LORD God, eternal
Who created and ordered.

Is your light shining bright
For the glory of God
Or has your wick dimmed
On the journey you trod?

As a branch in God’s vine
We are called to abide
Not wander away
Lest we’re cast aside.

So, am focused no longer
On my feelings and flaws
But His grace, for each need
Trust Him, to open doors.
