Send The Fire, LORD

LORD God, send the fire
Upon us we pray
Hourly, and daily
Purify, have Your way.

Do send an awakening
We yearn Your arrival
Lost souls born anew
Send renewal, revival.

“Here is Love” a hymn beloved
Widely sung, as God began
Pouring out, His mighty Spirit
Thro’ Evan Roberts, a Welshman.

With no hope, save the Lord
Grant this nation, to awaken
Repentance, renewal
Lord, leave us not forsaken.

Need renewal, revival
Discipline Your disciples
O God, cleanse our land
From godlessness, and idols.

May our leaders, seek God’s wineskins
A fresh vison of Jesus’ call
A holy people, disciple-making
Going forth and reaching all.

So, renew and revive us
Restore us, we pray
Send the fire of Your Presence
Come down Lord, this day.

And do cultivate joy
Your heart upward raised
Instead of your grumbling
Thanksgiving and praise.

I yearn for Your presence
So weary of failure
Need blessings, O God
Shine upon me, with favor.

LORD, not a brief season
But a stirring that stays
As they take up their cross
And share Jesus, each day.
