God’s Joy, or Our Feelings?

“You will show me, the path of life
In Your presence, fullness of joy
Weeping, may endure for a night
But in the morning, comes joy.”

What Bugs You?

Yes, those bugs and frustrations
God allows, each our way
Are to get our attention
Cause us turn, and obey.

Full of Self, or God’s Glory?

We have one life on earth
How will it be spent
Self-effort, self- sufficient
Or lived, as God meant?

‘Self’…My Old Nature

So now repentant, trusting Him
Born anew, from above
We are now, His own possession
Redeemed, by Jesus’ love.

Daily Seek Revival

May Your Spirit revive me
Your life lived in me
That I bring You much glory
That many others, see Thee.

Be Dead to Sin

Our repentance, often shallow
More remorse, and regret
Not turning and fleeing
From pet sins, that beset.

Be Steadfast

So do pray, that our hearts
Remain steadfast, unmoved
Walk by faith, not feelings
In Christ, wholly approved.

By God’s Spirit

By Your Spirit, I’m reborn
By Your Spirit, empower
By Your Spirit, do direct
By Your Spirit, overpower.

Be Led of God’s Spirit

By constant prayer, keep seeking
Lest we wander, and fall
Ever dependent, await
God’s Word and wisdom, in all.

God’s Fountain, or Our Cisterns?

With other cisterns, we still thirst But not the waters, Jesus gives
Becomes a fountain, within us
Springing up, forever lives.
