Churchianity or Christianity?

We’re not equipping, with ‘how-to’
Nor teaching, Jesus’ way
Not mentoring, role-modeling
Not reproducing, to obey.

Yet Jesus left us, His great Commission
God’s strategy, to reach the world
Make disciples, not pew sitters
Teach them obey, His every word.

“To revive the spirit, of the humble
Revive the heart, of those contrite”
Our Master Potter, can reshape
We His clay, remold aright.

For parents aren’t perfect
They come with their baggage
May kids grow, self-examine
To avoid long-term damage.

But, if we’ve a low esteem
Always carrying, chronic shame
Subconsciously, ever struggling
Feeling guilt, so casting blame.

When failing, we do wrong
Try to bury, in shame
Then, blame on another
While lies excuses, we proclaim.

Are we carnal and fleshly
Walk by faith, or by sight?
By our lusts, sensual desires
Live by instincts, appetites?

God declared unto Abram
I will bless those, who bless you
And I will curse him, who curses you
All families on earth, blessed thro’ you.

Look beyond, gifting and training
To know their heart, motivation
A vessel, wholly dedicated?
Or tainted needing, more consecration?

Such love, that passes knowledge
With which, you may be filled
With all the fullness of God
Through His Spirit, be fulfilled.
