Pew Spectators or Disciple Makers?
We’ve many, passive in the pews
Low expectations, of ‘laypeople’
Spectators, not disciple makers
Obeying, training of God’s people.
Pew Warmers, or Gospel Sharers?
For as saints we are called
To serve and to care
Those hungry and hurting
God’s Good News to share.
Prosperity Preachers or Great Commission Teachers?
Not a self-serving ministry
But sinners saved, when speaking
Not into personal prosperity
But lost souls, we’re seeking.
Faith in God, not the Flesh
And learn daily to forgive
Reflecting God’s love
For His goodness and kindness
Daily depend, from above.
Not Carnality but Christ
Recognizing, we’re daily drawn
To sinful, fleeting pleasures
Instead of seeking our God
His holy Presence, our treasure.
Not Focused on Church Buildings
Jesus finished, His atonement
Yet His ministry, was incomplete
Left His mission, disciple-making
We are commanded, to complete.
Be Faithful, Endure
So, be of good cheer
For Jesus has overcome
The world, the flesh and the devil
Know in Him, we have won.
Church Leaders in Disciple-Making?
So let us focus, on Jesus’ mission
Train in outreach, disciple-making
Equip the saints, reach the world
Role modeling, and mentoring!
Not an Option
With three billion, unaware
Of Jesus’ Name, to our shame
Let us pray, give and go
’tis our duty, and aim.
The Manifesto for the Unreached
Our declaration – we will shout
From every pinnacle, pay any price
The only hope, for this dying world
Is a relationship, with Jesus Christ.
