God’s Love of Israel

“For the gifts and the calling;
Of God are irrevocable”;
Israel’s weeping, a great repentance;
Israel’s salvation is inevitable.

And so by faith, we firmly stand;
Even though, not understood;
Despite the darkness and distress;
God is working for our good.

So, God’s tapestry from underneath;
We see, our tangled threads;
But when seen from above;
God’s perfect picture, outspread.

“But He knows, the way I take;
When He has tested me;
I shall come forth as gold;
For Job trusted, tho’ couldn’t see.

So, instead of our choosing;
Ask God, pick and place;
Each thread of our life;
All be a picture, of His grace.

When a door slams shut
There is rarely a ‘why’
God suddenly closes
‘Oft a puzzling surprise.

So, be of good cheer
For Jesus has overcome
The world, the flesh and the devil
Know in Him, we have won.

Yes, keep praying and asking
For God’s kingdom to come
Despite men’s hardened hearts
Know His will, shall be done!

Be ever ready for His coming
Though we know not the hour
But be His faithful, wise steward
Await His blessings, to shower.

We’re all called, to the unreached
Ask God, direct each day
Through praying, sharing, giving
See more disciples, that obey.
