We are God’s Poem
We’re a ‘poem’ of God
His ‘poema’, in Greek
His creation, workmanship
Made in Christ, each unique.
Our Modern Christmas
So, we celebrate Christmas
But are missing the Messiah
No manger no mention
Of our need, to look higher.
Christmas
This mystery unfolded
God reached out as man
As the Lord of Creation
As Messiah, His plan.
What Love is This?
But ‘Agape’ love
The heart of God’s nature
Is selfless, sacrificial
There is no love greater.
Adversity
His purpose is cleansing
Like gold refined pure
That our lives, should reflect
His glory, yet more.
God’s Grace is Sufficient
Yes, if we step out in faith
And walk in His Spirit
Believing, not doubting
His Word, He fulfils it.
Desperate to Change?
So, friend if you’re yearning
God’s blessing and change
Come wrestle with God
‘til your old life’s exchanged.
A Rusty Old Car
For He saw we were broken
Like the rusty old shell
But in love He redeemed
From the scrapyard of hell.
The ‘Blessed Way’
And should our feet, and road seem hid
Those times are truly sweet
When all we have, is God alone
To guide our steps, oft’ steep.
Come unto Me
Yes, come find rest
Your soul, respite
My yoke is easy
My burden, light.
