God Searches Each Heart

“For he shall be like a tree;
Planted by the waters;
Spreads out its roots, by the river,”
Godly sons, and daughters.

LORD send conviction, lest I wander,
Discipline me, if I stray,
Take me deeper, draw me nearer,
To ever hunger, and obey.

Leads to a sense, of great dependence,
Accountability, to know God’s essence,
A deepening, personal relationship,
Daily abide, live in His presence.

Yes by faith, not pew spectators,
But by faith, become His laborer,
Not wrapped up, in our own lives,
But by faith, obey the Savior.

While Jesus said, “I am the way,
The truth, and the life,
No one comes to the Father,
Except through Me”….alone suffice.

Keep being filled, by God’s Spirit,
Walk by faith, ‘self’ daily dying,
Be not rebellious, nor self-serving,
Seek to obey, God’s Word applying.

Lord, teach us to number;
Our days, that we apply;
Our hearts unto wisdom;
Lest wasted, dissatisfied.

Yes daily build, believing God;
Knowing He, burns up all dross;
Do walk by faith, always trusting;
Obeying Jesus, all else is loss.

Turn your fears, into faith;
Your adversity, to adventure;
Claim God’s promises, believe;
Jesus’ victory, on your venture.

So ever, give thanks to our God;
Yes, all through Christ Jesus;
To spread His fragrance, and knowledge;
For in triumph, He always leads us!
