Are You Waiting and Ready?

Though we know not the day
Nor hour He will come
God’s Word never fails
We shall soon, see His Son.

Keep God’s Word, in our heart
Cry out to God, and resist
Resolve, I will obey
The Holy Spirit, will assist.

With each worldview different answers,
Made in God’s image, Judeo-Christian.
With only Jesus addressing evil,
Conquered sin, restores and listens.

Who am I, my meaning?
Just why am I here?
My purpose, my mission?
Few have ears to hear.

Set free, from compulsion
He restores our behavior
Our minds are renewed
What a wonderful Savior.

And put on the new man
Created according to God
In true righteousness and holiness
In His fullness, now daily trod.

“You will show me, the path of life
In Your presence, fullness of joy
Weeping, may endure for a night
But in the morning, comes joy.”

We’re created to worship
Our innermost essence
A thirst deep within
To enter, God’s Presence.

With my heart, ever hungry
Am so thirsty Lord, for You
So desiring, Your Presence
Your Word, is ever true.

Let my cry come
Before You, O LORD
Give me understanding
According to Your Word.
