Wait upon The Lord

So, in place of self-searching
And following our feelings
Rather obey the LORD
Be wise, wait upon His leading.

Know God’s love, joy and peace
Are not fruits of circumstances
But fruits of His Spirit
Keep abiding, we’re His branches.

“Now the just shall live by faith
But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him.”
So, seek much faith, do not lack.

And yet our hope is not in weapons
The arm of flesh, will fail
Pray Israel trust in the LORD
Know her Messiah, wholly prevail.

Why do You stand
Afar off, O LORD?
Why do You hide
Amidst troubles, outpoured?

Since am weakened, in my body
And so no longer, can do all
But can rest in my weakness
Upon His strength, I daily call.

Yet, our God uses foes
In revealing His plan
That Israel, be saved
Despite the evil of man.

Fully trusting God’s promises
With obedience to His word
Being steadfastness in prayer
By circumstances, undeterred.

God uses all ways
To turn up the heat
To soften our hearts
Our hardness, defeat.

When we’re failing and falling
And we’re hitting, rock bottom
We can stand, on Christ Jesus
Our sure Rock, and still blossom.
