Whatever My Lot

And so by faith, we firmly stand;
Even though, not understood;
Despite the darkness and distress;
God is working for our good.

So, spend much time, alone
With God’s Word, in prayer
Do ask, wait upon Him
Keep knocking, He will share.

“But He knows, the way I take;
When He has tested me;
I shall come forth as gold;
For Job trusted, tho’ couldn’t see.

Shall mount up, like eagles
Shall run, and not grow weary
They shall walk, and not faint
Know God, is ever with me.

So, in place of self-searching
And following our feelings
Rather obey the LORD
Be wise, wait upon His leading.

Be ever ready for His coming
Though we know not the hour
But be His faithful, wise steward
Await His blessings, to shower.

Though we know not the day
Nor hour He will come
God’s Word never fails
We shall soon, see His Son.

When His timing is right
He will answer, dear saint
So wait, on the LORD
Yield to Him, no complaint!

Wait on the Lord
For His timing, not mine
And trust Him, whatever
For His hour, divine.

While waiting, grow strong
Learn to lean on the LORD
Grow in faith, endurance
See blessings, then poured.
